Chess Academy (ICA) - A service by GM Gabriel Schwartzman in which
he sends two lectures by email each week. You have three days to
review a position you are sent, after which you receive a detailed explanation
of the proper way to proceed in the position. There is a charge
for the service.

- a terrific site for beginners looking to learn the moves or basic tactics.
There are also some quizzes for the intermediate player.
Chess Is Fun
- a great site by Jon Edwards, U.S. Correspondence Chess Champion with
lessons for beginners teaching chess moves, basic strategy, and endgames.
There is also some material for advanced players as well.
Chess World - terrific
site featuring unique chess contests and quizzes, timed and scored online.
Also featured are PGN downloads and an excellent set of chess links.
Exeter Chess Club
Coaching Page - probably the best chess-related coaching page on the
Internet. There are hundreds games illustrating a number of different
themes. Be sure to visit the section titled "Canonical Chess
Games and Positions". You will find courses of study for different
skill levels, handouts, and learning links.
Traveller Chess Sites - there
is a huge amount of chess instruction to be found by perusing this web
site. Make sure to look in both the Chess Archives as well as the
Huntsville Chess Club.
ChessKIDS
Academy - which combines free interactive chess lessons and quizzes
for young children with a resource centre for parents and teachers. The
site is still in its early stages of development - we'll be adding a lot
more material over the coming months

Chess Lessons - site by John Coffey featuring a huge number of "find
the best move" puzzles, opening traps, and endgame lessons.
You will also find a "Hot 100 Chess Links" list there in addition
to some tips on how to improve your game.
htmlire Chess Instruction - htmlire
is a site dedicated to offering inexpensive lessons from master-strength
players. They also let you to play or analyze a "World vs.
their eight master level players" chess game.

Chess Coaching Online
- a page with lessons by FM Bernd Rosen. Diagnostic tools, a puzzle

Open Champion IM Georgi Orlov. Among many other things, the site features
a large section featuring chess instruction.
Chess Player Survey - a comprehensive
survey of chess players, the results of which may be used to help chess

huge database. Good as a trainer.
Chess Rules
- shows you how the pieces move and how to setup the board.
ChessWeb - featuring a

ChessWise University - an online
training center. By becoming a member, you gain access to audio
