Levon Aronian played a quite nice positional game against Teimour Radjabov's Modern Benoni. He cut out Radjabov's attacking possibilities whilst improving his own chances and won handily.

Vladimir Kramnik's Petroff wall stood very firm again, this time against Vassily Ivanchuk. Kramnik may even be said to have had an edge at the end but it was not nearly enough to continue.
